From Tree To Bowl.

One of the most common questions I'm asked is:
"So what do you do with all the wood once the tree is cut down?

Most of the timber from my work is used as firewood by the client, chipped for mulch, or repurposed in environmental ways, such as providing habitat for wildlife. But sometimes, a special piece of wood deserves a second life.

That's where my lathe comes in. In my workshop, I turn selected sections of timber into handcrafted wooden bowls - giving the tree a new chapter beyond the garden. Every bowl is unique, carrying the natural character of the wood it came from.

For some customers, this can be a meaningful way to remember a much-loved tree. Instead of just saying goodbye, they can keep a part of it in their home - as something both useful and beautiful. And because each piece comes with its own story, a bowl made from your own tree makes for a wonderful talking point when friends and family visit.

It's not a service I offer on every job, but if you're interested in having a keepsake made from your tree, just let me know when we discuss your project.

Practical tree care with an artisan twist -
turning your tree into something to treasure for a lifetime.
